My brother and I are embarking on  a 20,000 mile overland adventure. We will be driving ‘Melvin’, a Land Rover Defender 110, from Alexandria to Cape Town.

We have 100 days to complete the expedition, hopefully following the trails blazed by earlier overlanders, such as close friends Freddie and Walter who drove from London to Cape Town back in 2013. They have a fantastic website, crusingtocapetown.com, which I would recommend to anyone who is researching, or just curious, about such a trip.

We aim to share our adventure with regular photo-riddled blog posts, and would love to hear any feedback or tips from fellow overland enthusiasts.
